Hello, Heroic Showdown Symphony Supporters!
We've begun ordering the plushies and stickers and posters and are in communication with getting the book ready for printing. We're really looking forward to getting them into your hands! The items are most cost-effective to ship separately, although if you live in/near or travel to Utah County, I'll make arrangements to hand-deliver your items.
Email Survey Coming Your Way
In the next week or so, I'll be sending you an email survey through Backerkit, a post-Kickstarter pledge manager, to get your shipping/delivery address as well as collect taxes and any shipping. You can also order any other add-on items if you wish.
For those receiving digital downloads: I'll get the link to you in late April/early May.

We Did It!
I imagine you've seen this illustration spread from our book quite a few times over the past month. For me, after our campaign went from $4k on Wednesday evening the 28th to $9k Friday the 31st at midnight, it now represents the hope that small-time writers can have despite overwhelming odds with people like you behind them. Leah and I, and the rest of our creative team (Sarah, Emmaline, and Lucy) - feel so thrilled and grateful for your help in bringing this project to life!

Great news: thanks to some recent sizable pledges, we're within sight of our campaign funding goal! We'd love your help to make it over the top. Here's how:

Pathways to Success
Hello, wonderful backers of Showdown Symphony!
As a teacher, I enjoy the challenge of supporting each of my students to succeed. As authors, Leah and I are embracing the same challenge with this book. Kickstarter is our first approach, and we deeply appreciate your pledges, posts, and personal encouragement during the first three weeks of our campaign.
As of today, we've got six days left and are just over 50% funded. Of course we'd be thrilled if some stars aligned and we were able to meet our goal of raising $8,000. We're still searching and testing out options for reaching more backers.
We're also exploring other ways to make the story and materials available to parents and educators. Three days ago we had a video interview with music education influencer Jeanette Shorey on her Facebook group, and we're reaching out to other arts integration experts and organizations as well. Regardless of our campaign's final tally, we'll do all we can to make Showdown Symphony (and the plushie, stickers, and posters) available to you as soon as possible.

Update: Hitting the Halfway Marks

Hello Showdown Symphony backers! We're so grateful you've joined us on this journey.
A couple days ago I posted about how a major Australian elementary curriculum company has made several online lessons centered on the digital elements of Showdown Symphony. I also recently shared our project's videos with music teachers in the school district where I teach, and they're really looking forward to getting the print book and lesson materials.
So I'm absolutely thrilled about this book's potential, but our campaign does need a boost. Right now we're just over halfway in our timeline (16 of 31 days) and just under halfway (45%) with funding. We're continuing to message individuals and reach out through social media posts and advertising, and we'd love for you to take a moment in the next day or two to send our campaign link to 2-3 people you think would appreciate the book:
